BA 29 - Rootstock for quince and pear

Quince BA 29 is a rootstock for quince and pear trees, yielding fruit in the second year after planting. It can be cultivated in soils with high water permeability. It is resistant to crown gall (Agrobacterium tumefaciens) and phytophthora, but susceptible to bacterial fire blight (Erwinia amylovora). Planting distances are recommended to be 4x1.2 m and 4x1.5 m.
