Gizella 6 - Cherry rootstock

Gizella 6 is a cherry rootstock created by Dr. Gruppe from Germany through the hybridization of Prunus cerasus (wild cherry) and Prunus Canescens (gray leaf cherry or Cano cherry).

Gizella 6 is known for its rapid fruit formation and excellent fruit quality and size. It is sensitive to gummosis and bacterial diseases. This rootstock is considered ideal for deep and well-drained soils, even for heavy and poorly aerated soils. Recommended planting distances can be determined as 3x0.5 m or 3x1 m.
